The Breckenridge Fry Down

To toast the end of the winter season and the end of our stay at the Breck house, we decided to have a "fry down" where all food was fried. This included wings, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cheese, pot stickers, okra, pickles, a whole turkey, ice cream sandwhiches, bacon dipped in pancake batter, snickers, mushrooms, eggplant, and much more that I can't remember.

The Fry Down involved a lot of sitting around preparing yourself for the next course... You needed to save your energy if you were going to make it through.

Lining up the food to go in the frier.

Jen D. breading the okra and pickles.

The weather was beautiful, but I think our neighbors thought we were crazy.

Party on, Jeff.

My Beautiful Denver Baby Shower

On Sunday, May 20th, Liz, Jen, and Sue threw me a beautiful shower at the Denver Botanical Gardens. The weather was perfect and the scenery was amazing, but the best part was having such special people around me. Here are some pictures.

The coolest cake ever... ladybugs, bees, and 4 "peas in a pod" to represent the 4 Highlands mamas.

Sebastian looking cool.

Ben having a blast!

Cutting the coolest cake ever. It was sad to cut it apart. I LOVED that cake.
