It Might Rain One Day!

Oh my gosh! It might rain one day. I'd better get ready.

Good thing I have these great rain boots. And this is how I'd hold the umbrella.

Whew, I'm glad it didn't rain today.

Sleeping

I am very good about going to sleep. I generally hang out for awhile and gently fall asleep. But sometimes I do fall asleep while i'm eating...

and i'm so peaceful...

but other times it makes me mad....

and gives me the wrinkley head.

Rockies all the way!

My cousin Caleb kidnapped me and MADE me wear this Boston Red Sox hat. And it may look like I'm smiling, but DON"T BE FOOLED. I'm a Rockies fan through and through!

Hanging with the Neighborhood Crew

My friend Ben had a Halloween party recently. He dressed up as a cool punk rock kid with a mohawk and a "tatoo"... My lame parents didn't dress me up as anything, well, except for my usual cute self.

Standing!

My newest trick is being able to support my body weight with my legs. Now all I want to do is "stand" up, though I still need some help from my ma.

I can also FLY!

Reading

I love reading with my mom. Shakespeare is my favorite, but his work doesn't come in cardboard books, so we're currently reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear instead.

And More Pics from Our Trip....!

Okay, I had PLANNED to post more pics directly to the blog, but I've just run out of time. So here's a link to a Wal-Mart photo album so you can see all our fun pics and order any you would like to have.

Photo album (will open in a new window)

Jack went to the docs yesterday and he weighs 14 lbs 3 oz now and is 24.5 inches long. He also got his blood drawn---yuck. He was tougher and braver than his mama was, that's for sure.

I also started back to work last week part time. We've found an amazing nanny, Jackie, and she and her son Charlie come and play with Jack 3 days a week. Jackie is GREAT and Jack is very interested in Charlie. He's 7 months old and I think Jack is jealous that he can crawl around. They are destined to be great friends.

My first day at the beach

I got to take my first trip to a Delaware beach.

This was the first time I ever felt sand...

I liked it okay. Well, except for the sun. And the heat. And the sand. Oh, and the water. But other than that I had a blast.

Meeting the Lindseys

It seems like just yesterday that we saw the Lindseys... but that was before Jack was even born. It was great to have his future girlfriends, Sophie and Belle, finally meet him in person!

Playing with the McDonalds

Four generations of McDonald guys...

I loved playing with Papa.

Fat, Happy Jack

Cousins!

Jack and Ella meet for the first time. It was love at first sight (cousin love).

Then we had to get all ready to go out.

Our great grandmother Mary McDonald gave us both these beautiful christening gowns that we tried on.

We had fun with them.

And then since I was in a dress, my dad put me in this tough hat and I made pirate faces. See, I can be tough even in a dress, that's how tough I am!

And then our parents took pictures of us to embarrass us later in life.

My trip to DC

Oh wow, it's been a LONG time since we've posted. In that time, we went back East for a whirlwind trip to meet family and friends. I'll post some pics here.

Also, in Jack news, the little man is sleeping through the night now. Whooo hoo! And I mean really sleeping through the night, not that ridiculous 5 hours that "medically" means he's sleeping through the night. He goes to bed around 9p and sleeps until about 7a most nights. I'm not sure how or why it's happened, but I'm just grateful for now. Whoo hoo again!

He's also getting heavier and funner every day....

And now i'll post some pics.
