Have I Mentioned How Much I Love Lydia?

If only she loved me back.

Happy Pre-Birthday, Jack

My birthday isn't until 7/12, but my folks got me a blow-up pool for my birthday and wanted to try it out before the big day.

I, uh, hate it. Maybe by the time I'm an old, mature, 1-year-old, I'll have grown to like it. But my folks are skeptical.

Tough Jobs Require Adequate Protection

Watering the lawn is tough work. I must wear the proper eye protection.

Dad taught me that!

Look Ma, No Hands!

I started "hands-free standing" this week, and today I've taken a bunch of steps. Who knows, by tomorrow I may be ready to walk all the way down the block!

Green Balls Rule

Yay, my green ball is my favorite!

Uh, oh. Where did it go? Is it in here?

Or under my crib?

Found it!! Whoo hoo!

Mmmmm....

You can kinda see my teeth when I smile now. Those 4 on the top are still working their way down. It kinda makes me mad sometimes.

But not today.

I love shape sorters

How can I get this puzzle piece to go in here?

Got it!

My mother is in shock... she can't believe it. The count down is ON to the one year mark.

Enjoying the Outdoors

My Teeth!

You can see the 2 on the top now and there are 2 more coming!

I'm Gonna Getcha

Whether it's Lydia's fur or mom and dad's face, Jack is fond of letting you know how much he cares with a strong embrace.

Here I come, Lydia!

I LOVE you! Doesn't it look like Lydia is happy??

Dad, I love you, too.

Gotcha!!

Me and Pedro

Pedro is one of my FAVORITE people.

Don't we look cool?!?!

Milestones

My first official word: uh-oh. I know it might not count as a "real" word, but I like to say it a lot and use it when I drop a toy for my folks to pick up.

My other words: "dadda" and "thank you." My mama is very, very proud that one of my first words is "thank you." My gramma Gwen should be proud too: she was always a stickler for manners.

This is my "Hello, nice to see you" gesture.

And I know it looks like I'm walking in this pic, but it's just an action shot on my way down. I'm still not very comfortable standing on my own, even though when I'm not paying attention I can do it. But as soon as I realize that I'm not holding onto something, I sit down.

I've also got 2 new teeth on top and my mom is pretty sure there are 2 more coming, for a total of 6 teeth. Wow-wow-wee-wow.
